Meet Founder Angie Kim



Marin Capital. Ernst & Young. Deloitte & Touch. Bear Sterns. For more than a decade, Angie Kim has helped both global and local companies maintain their books and handle their operations to keep accurate records and a sound business. In 2003, Ms. Kim took the next step forward and founded Core Fund Solutions (CFS) to transform her considerable talents and hedge fund expertise into the industry’s premier choice for administrative solutions.

Prior to founding CFS, Ms. Kim served as Senior Controller for Marin Capital, a complex multi-billion convertible arbitrage fund. At Marin, Ms. Kim focused on big-picture goals while working on daily logistics, overseeing everything from day-to-day accounting and operations to setting up multiple funds. Ms. Kim interfaced with a number of company levels, including trade-floor monitoring and key internal risk mitigation.

A graduate of SUNY New Paltz (B.S. Accounting, 1991), Ms. Kim received her CPA license in 1996 and spent her time in industry overseeing international divisions for Deloitte & Touch and Ernst & Young in financial epicenters such as New York, London, and Zurich. Ms. Kim also spent time at Bear Sterns as an analyst focusing on the brokerage sector. In addition to audit and consulting duties, Ms. Kim worked with clients as a specialized expert for hedge fund, broker dealer, and investment bank clients.

Currently, Ms. Kim spends her time at CFS focusing on client services and marketing.
